As a first responder, you are on the front lines when every second counts. You know firsthand the difference immediate action can make when someone experiences sudden cardiac arrest. However, you also understand the limitations of the equipment you rely on – specifically AEDs – when they’re not stored properly or accessible in public spaces.
Imagine someone experiencing sudden cardiac arrest in an outdoor recreation area where help may be far away. Without an accessible AED that’s protected from extreme weather conditions, the window for effective intervention rapidly closes. To ensure that you can continue saving lives, The Aliver Foundation advocates for something simple, yet powerful: Every outdoor recreation space should have at least one all-weather, climate-controlled, tamper-proof AED enclosure (and AED) accessible to the public 24/7/365.
We need your voice and expertise to make this happen. As first responders, you understand the urgency of immediate intervention, and you also know how vital it is to have accessible, functional equipment available when seconds matter. These AEDs are for the public – for the people who visit parks, trails, and other outdoor recreation spaces. By advocating for these lifesaving bundles, you will help ensure that anyone who experiences sudden cardiac arrest has a better chance at survival.
In addition to advocating for life-saving equipment, you will serve as resource experts for The Aliver Foundation, offering valuable guidance on best practices for CPR and AED usage. Your experience will help educate the public on how to respond effectively when they encounter someone in need of help. Through your leadership, you’ll empower others with the knowledge they need to take action before professional help arrives.
By joining the First Responder Committee, you’ll help ensure that AEDs are not only available but always ready to use, no matter the weather conditions. Together, we can raise awareness, ensure better preparedness, and bring educational opportunities to communities across the country.
Our mission is more than just having AEDs in public spaces—it’s about making sure they’re properly protected, accessible, and ready to save lives. We’re calling on you to be a part of this movement, to advocate for safety, and to make a lasting difference in saving lives.
We are looking for first responders across the United States to serve as advocates to bring lifesaving equipment and educational opportunities to their communities, as well as help us spread the word about the importance of having AEDs accessible to the public in outdoor recreation spaces.
